In the past you may well have tried to grow cutting-raised rhododendrons which require very specific soil conditions: Acidic soil with a pH ranging from 4 to 5.5. to maintain strong healthy growth.

Most garden soils do not fall into this category and therefore these cutting raised rhododendrons may have suffered and left you disappointed. After talking to many gardeners we also know that you have had equally poor results when planting them in patio pots. Tap water has a high pH and constant watering with it will in time raise the pH of the compost to a level that is too high for the plant to flourish.
